Cuddle Heart Fundraiser
When making a purchase from our website, you will be offered the option to add $1 to donate a Cuddle Heart to one of the Special Care Nurseries or Neonatal Intensive Care Units that we are donating to. Twinspirations will be making and donating these Cuddle Hearts, your $1 will be used to help fund the fabric.
Cuddle Hearts are small fabric hearts as pictured below that link a mother and baby when these little babies are in these units. Cuddle hearts are made in packs of three. One is given to the mother to place on her chest picking up her scent, one is placed close to baby for the same reason, the third is a spare. These hearts are then swapped between mother and baby.
Cuddle hearts have been introduced to help connect and help bond these mothers and babies. As well as, helping the mother's milk come in when apart from her baby, while having a calming effect on the baby. Cuddle Hearts are one way we can help with the emotional and physical challenges faces by mums and bubs in NICU, NCCU, and SCU.
